Founded in 2014, Myanmar Music Festival is an annual international music festival based in Yangon and presenting international artists and faculty in collaboration with emerging and established talents in Myanmar.  Special attention is given to mentor young talents from Myanmar as well as to commission new compositions. The festival is organized in collaboration with the Khayay International School, Ministry of Culture in Myanmar, the United Nations, Taiwan Democracy Foundation, Kairos Arts, local and international businesses as well as Embassies from around the world. The festival has performed for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate in 2014, 2015 and 2019.  As of 2021, due to a coup d’état, the festival is currently on hold after 7 successful seasons.
