Job Title: Social Media and Communications Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and creative Social Media and Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of 88 International’s social media strategy, digital communications, and branding.

 

Job Summary:

88 International is seeking a creative and strategic Social Media and Communications Manager to lead our digital communications and branding efforts. This role is focused on managing and developing content for 88 International’s official social media pages and platforms, driving engagement with global audiences, and positioning our brand as a leader in youth empowerment through music and creative programs. The ideal candidate will be skilled in storytelling, content creation, community engagement, and media relations, helping to increase our visibility, engage diverse audiences, and highlight the impact of our programs on youth and communities, especially on an international level. This position requires a proactive, innovative, and culturally sensitive approach to amplify our work and increase our visibility among international communities, partners and donors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Strategy Development: 

Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aimed at increasing international visibility and engagement across all 88 International platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

  • Content Creation and Management: 

Develop high-quality, engaging content (posts, videos, graphics, stories, etc.) that reflects 88 International’s mission, vision, and impact. Ensure all content aligns with our brand voice and resonates with diverse, global audiences.

  • Community Engagement: 

Monitor and engage with our online community, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and thoughtful manner. Build relationships with followers, influencers, and partners to foster a strong, supportive online community.

 

  • Campaigns and Initiatives: 

Plan and execute digital campaigns that highlight 88 International’s impact, events, and programs. This includes creating thematic campaigns, promoting music contests, leadership & creativity programs, and showcasing success stories from our youth clubs around the world.

  • Analytics and Reporting: 

Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics for social media channels. Use data-driven insights to optimize content strategy, identify growth opportunities, and improve engagement rates.

  • Content Calendar Management:

Develop and maintain a content calendar that ensures consistent and timely content delivery across all platforms, with a focus on strategic moments and international days related to youth, education, and culture.

  • Brand Consistency: 

Ensure that all digital communications are consistent with 88 International’s brand identity, values, and messaging guidelines. Improve and reinforce 88 International’s brand identity across all platforms.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in social media management, preferably within an NGO, international organization, or creative sector. Experience in copywriting and content creation is highly preferred.
  • Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills with an eye for visual content and design.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging multimedia content and manage digital campaigns.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, Google Analytics, online marketing channels, and familiarity with web design.
  • Knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and audiences.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French or Arabic is a plus.
